Kim Cole
My name is Kim Cole and I proudly represent Ettalong Diggers as their Community & Tourism Manager. My role over the past 21 years has afforded me the pleasure of meeting a multitude of wonderful members and visitors that frequent our venue regularly.
Having this opportunity to raise funds for those who are suffering with cancer and their families is very close to my heart.
Losing my dear mother 15 years ago to Breast Cancer still resonates deeply with me, so when selected to participate in this year’s Cancer Councils “Stars of the Central Coast” plus the culmination of dance, I couldn’t believe the serendipity and of course jumped at the chance. Some of my fondest memories growing up were spent in dance halls with my mother who danced competitively.
Moving to the Central Coast when I was 10, I consider myself a proud Coastie and feel privileged to honour not only my mother’s legacy but also the many brave individuals who struggle with their fight against this cruel disease.
My goal is to raise as much awareness of the key areas the NSW Cancer Council play in the everyday lives of those affected including their role in supporting research and development, patient support and education programs as well as highlighting their contributions to preventing all types of cancer.
My endeavour will be to raise these needed funds on behalf of the NSW Cancer Council and help in the “Fight for Life” which will be my mission statement moving forward.
I’m so excited to be able to get my boogie on for such a great organisation and support those who “Fight for life”.
