Our Why...

Cancer has touched almost every family in one way or another. Whether you have experienced it yourself or stood beside someone you love, you know just how devastating its impact can be.

What inspires us most is the incredible strength shown by those facing cancer. They continue to show up to treatments, appointments, and the challenges that come with cancer with courage, determination, and hope, even on the days they don't feel like they can.

That perspective has really stayed with us.

Compared to what so many people endure, stepping onto a stage to dance is a very small challenge. It's completely outside our comfort zone (and if you've ever seen either of us dance, you'll know just how accurate that is!), but we're committed to giving it everything we've got because every dollar raised has the potential to make a real difference.

The funds raised through Stars of Tamworth help Cancer Council provide practical support for local people and families affected by cancer, from accommodation and transport assistance to trusted support services, while also funding vital research into better treatments and improved outcomes for the future.

If two people who love a dance floor but have absolutely no business performing a choreographed routine on stage can help make life a little easier for even one person facing cancer, then every rehearsal, every sore muscle, and every moment of embarrassment will have been worth it.

Every donation, fundraiser you support, and every person who comes along to cheer us on brings us one step closer to making a difference.
