Join us for a Coffee & Bake Sale supporting the Cancer Council ☕✨

This Saturday, 23 May, the community is coming together for a warm and welcoming Coffee & Bake Sale in support of the Cancer Council. It’s a simple idea with a powerful impact—good coffee, homemade treats, and generous hearts all helping to raise funds for cancer research, support services, and prevention programs.

Held at Colour City Dance, the event will run from 8:30am to 12:00pm, offering the perfect opportunity to start your Saturday morning with something sweet while contributing to an important cause.

A Morning Full of Treats & Community Spirit

Visitors can look forward to a delicious spread of sweet and savoury baked goods, all available by donation. Every item has been lovingly prepared or donated by local makers and businesses, creating a true community effort.

On offer will be:

• Classic coffee cake
• Irresistible rocky road
• Cupcakes from Hutchison's Bakehouse
• Yema cake and Filipino-style fried empanadas from Shymigriel Asian & Australian Cuisine

Easy Giving, Meaningful Impact

All items will be available by donation, with both cash and card payments accepted. Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the Cancer Council and the vital work they do across research, education, and support services for individuals and families affected by cancer.

It’s a simple way to make a real difference—one coffee and one slice at a time.

This is a public event, and everyone is encouraged to come along. Bring your friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues for a relaxed morning filled with community connection and generosity.

Carwash for a Cause: Support the Cancer Council in Orange

Looking for something meaningful (and fun) to do these school holidays? Mark your calendar, because a fantastic community event is rolling into town and it’s all for a great cause.

On Saturday, 18 April, head down to West Orange Motors / Orange Toyota out the Forbes Road for a Carwash for a Cause!
Every dollar raised on the day will go directly to the Cancer Council, helping support vital research and services.

From 8:30am to 12:30pm, you can treat your car to a professional wash and vacuum for a minimum $20 donation and feel good knowing your contribution is making a real difference.

But this isn’t just your average car wash. It’s a full community morning designed for the whole family.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

• 🧽 A sparkling clean car while supporting a meaningful cause
• ☕ FREE coffee courtesy of Little Village Blends

Stars Of Orange 2026. Let's Go!

I am beyond excited (and just a little nervous!) to officially say I’m part of Stars of Orange 2026.

This isn’t just another event for me. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years. I’ve watched from the audience, cheered from the sidelines, admired the courage of the dancers… and secretly hoped that one day it would be my turn.

Well... this is the year.

Self-Nominated. Self-Belief. Big Goal.

I’m incredibly proud to say I self-nominated for 2026. No tapping on the shoulder. No waiting for the “right time.” Just a deep knowing that it was time to step up.

As a mum, a career woman, and someone who thrives on creativity and challenge, this feels like the ultimate combination of heart, hustle and a little bit of sparkle.

But more than anything, it’s about purpose.

Dancing With Purpose

Stars of Orange raises vital funds for the incredible work of Cancer Council NSW.

The money raised goes directly towards:

• Groundbreaking research

• Prevention programs

• Support services for families

• Education and awareness initiatives

Cancer impacts all of us in some way. Whether it’s family, friends, colleagues, or our wider community; we’ve all felt its ripple effect. That’s why I’m not just dancing for fun… I’m dancing for a cancer-free future.

My Dance Home: Colour City Dance

I’ve been partnered with the amazing team at Colour City Dance and a huge thank you to Suzanne and the team. I couldn’t be more grateful for you donating your time, talent and patience to someone who truly has no idea what they’re doing (yet!). 

In just 8 weeks, they’ll transform me from Brand Experience Lead… into someone who can (hopefully!) light up the stage with confidence. The rehearsals will be intense. The blisters will be real. But the end goal makes every step worth it.

The Goal: $7,500

I’ve set a fundraising target of $7,500 and I am determined to hit it (and maybe even exceed it).

If there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s fundraising. Over the years in radio, I’ve had the privilege of helping bring campaigns, giveaways and community initiatives to life. Now, I’m using that same platform, my voice, my connections and my creativity  for something deeply personal and powerful. But I need YOUR help!

Radio gives me the ability to:

• Amplify important causes

• Create opportunities for local businesses to get involved

• Engage our community in meaningful ways

• Turn small ideas into big impact

And trust me… I have plans.

I’ll be running fundraising activities on-air, across social media, and within the community. So make sure you’re listening to the radio and following along, there will be plenty of ways to get involved.

Whether it’s:

• Buying a raffle ticket

• Sponsoring a fundraising activity

• Donating directly

• Sharing the message

Every single contribution makes a difference.

This Is Bigger Than a Dance

Yes, I’ll be learning choreography.
Yes, I’ll be stepping way outside my comfort zone.
Yes, there will be costumes and stage lights.

But at its heart, this journey is about impact.

It’s about research.
It’s about prevention.
It’s about giving families hope.

And if I can use my position in radio to be a voice for that, to create opportunity, awareness and action then that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

So let’s do this together.

Let’s raise $7,500 (and beyond).
Let’s show what our community can achieve.
Let’s dance for something that truly matters.
