Michael Brear has been a financial planner for 26 years and loves helping people with their retirement and Centrelink needs. Based in Coffs Harbour, Michael works with Invest Blue, a trusted name in financial advice that empowers clients to live their best possible lives. Invest Blue is also one of Cancer Council’s amazing pro bono partners, providing financial advice to people impacted by cancer when they need it most.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys riding his Ducati, swimming at Jetty Beach, playing squash, and cheering on the Wests Tigers. He’s also a proud dad to Emma and Campbell and partner to Katy.
Michael’s motivation for joining Stars of Coffs Coast Dance comes from a deeply personal place. His father passed away from cancer 25 years ago, and he has seen the impact of the disease on many of his clients and friends. Giving back through this event means supporting Cancer Council’s vital work in cancer research, prevention programs, and support services for patients and families. For Michael, dancing is a way to honour his father’s memory and help others when they need it most.
