Mitch Samways

I’m Mitch Samways, born and raised in Newcastle. I’m the founder of Lone Clothing Co., Paperboy Espresso, and Coast Productions. three businesses that combine my love of creativity, coffee, and community. 
 
Over the past 10 years, I’ve been lucky enough to grow these brands from the ground up and pick up a few awards along the way, including local Hunter Business Awards in 2021 and 2022, Fashion Designer of the Year at the 2023 Australian Business Awards, and Entrepreneur of the Year for Australia  in 2024. 
 
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out in the surf or hanging at a café. They’re the things that keep me inspired and grounded. 

The Cancer Council holds a special place in my heart. I’ve seen firsthand the work they do to support families across Australia during some of their toughest times. I’ll be doing this dance in honour of my mum, who passed away from breast cancer.
