Meet Poppy & Frank Group
Poppy and Frank are a collective of five talented hairdressers who bring creativity, community, and good vibes to their beautiful salon every day. No two days are ever the same, with anywhere from one to four stylists working at any given time, the salon is always buzzing. What remains constant is their passion for their craft and the joy they find in working side by side.
Their decision to join Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer is deeply personal. As hairdressers, they are often among the first to hear when a client, friend, or loved one begins their cancer journey. They’re dancing for every person who has ever sat in their chair and shared news that changed their world.
Their biggest strength going into the competition? Each other. Taking the stage as a team means supporting, cheering, and lifting one another up, and bringing all the energy they’ve got.
Their biggest nerves? Only one thing: not being absolutely iconic and slaying the stage. (They fully intend to do both.)
When it comes to dance experience, a few of them grew up dancing, but mostly they’re lovers of a good boogie - whether it’s at home, on a night out, or in the back room of the salon. Their last big dance session together was at their 2024 Christmas Party at The Oriana, and they’re ready to take that joy onto the dancefloor. With a love of all kinds of music, they’re easy to get moving.
A few fun facts about the Poppy & Frank team:
• They share a combined 75 years of hairdressing experience
• They each operate their own business
• They genuinely love each other, and never miss an excuse for a catch‑up
If they could choose a dream dance partner, it would have to be Robert Irwin - because obviously.
Their favourite thing about being part of the Orange community is the incredible local food and wine, and the strong sense of support that makes the region feel like home.
Their fundraising goal? The stars are the limit. They’re aiming to smash their minimum target of $25,000 - and then some!
