I am joining the 2025 production of Stars of Armidale Dance for Cancer to support Cancer Council in their mission for a cancer free future.

Because 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I’m bringing everyone together to show off my dance moves to raise much needed funds and show my support to those in our community affected by cancer.

Help me raise funds to fight cancer

Dancing with the stars Armidale

Hi, I'm Ruby I'm 18 years old and I am currently working at PEDAL early intervention as an Allied Health Assistant and I am a teacher with Armidale Physical Culture.

In 2012 when I was 6 years old I lost my beautiful Pop to cancer and since then have had other loved ones diagnosed with this dreadful disease.  My wish is for future generations to live a cancer free life and that’s why I am stepping out of my comfort zone and taking part in Armidale Dancing with the Stars.  

As a child I participated in the Tour De Rocks bike ride and supported in following years. When I was 10 years old the pain of losing my Pop was still very raw. I asked myself what could I do to raise money for cancer research…I decided cut my hair very short and I asked my family and friends to sponsor me so I could make a donation to the cancer Cancer Council, in honour of my Pop.  With their support I raised $1500! Before cutting my hair I grew it long enough to donate it to be used to make wigs, to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.  

So please join and support me on this dancing journey to help raise much needed funds to help those suffering now and to reduce the suffering of future generations Any donations big or small are greatly appreciated!
