Tasha Wolodko-Kouril

I’m a Senior Associate in Sparke Helmore’s Projects & Government Commercial team, where I specialise in construction and infrastructure law. I’ve spent over nine years helping government and private clients navigate complex contracts, always aiming to keep things practical, commercial, and solution-driven. I’m also proud to hold Specialist Accreditation in Commercial Litigation—the first woman in the Newcastle and Central Coast region to do so.

Originally from Alberta, Canada, I moved to Australia in 2008 and now call Newcastle home. Outside of work, I’m a mum of two young kids, and I love a long black, a good glass of red, and time with my family and friends.

Why I’m dancing

In December 2024, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Watching her face this head-on—with strength, courage, and grace—has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life.

I’m dancing in Stars of Newcastle for her. I’m dancing for everyone who’s been through this, for every family who’s felt that fear, and for those still fighting.
