Stephanie Perry

Stephanie is the definition of Stars of Nowra! She is now managing director of Your Talent Team and has been involved in Stars of Nowra since its inception! Stephanie works her dream job at Your Talent Team, specialising in Hip Hop and Jazz. The years haven’t diminished her devotion, she still has a strong passion for dance and is keen to raise money and awareness with her Star and tear up the dancefloor.

Amber Cooper

Amber Cooper is the youngest Stars of Nowra Teacher of 2020. She been dancing since she was 5 years old and have started assistant teaching at Your Talent Team this year. She participated in Stars of Nowra in 2019 as a late comer but absolutely loved seeing our community come together to fundraise for such an awesome organisation! She cannot wait to get started this year and fundraise as much as possible for the Cancer Council.

Amy Wrublewski

Amy is the essence of Stars of Nowra, having been part of the event and your talent team since day dot. Amy has many prestigious qualifications and her Stars have gone on to win the Judges’ Choice award twice now.  Her favourite styles are Jazz, Modern and Tap. She especially loves that dance gives the ability to express yourself no matter how you’re feeling. Amy has a passion for Stars of Nowra and seeing everyone’s hard work and commitment in the community actively make a difference. She is looking forward to putting her Star out of their comfort zone and seeing them shine on stage!

Emma Lisakka

Emma started dancing at the early age of 2 at her local dance studio and in 2010 moved to Breannas Academy of Dance where her passion for dance grew. She is a versatile dancer and has trained in Ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, Latin and many more. In 2020 she completed her Certificate IV in Dance and was lucky to be learning from industry professionals such as Sophie Holloway, Kelley Abbey, Thern Reynolds and Keith Hawley. During this year she performed at the T20 women’s world cricket with New Ground Collective. Emma was also involved in Sophie Holloway’s concept video “I want a lip” and Stephan Perez’s “close your eyes’.

Tenneil Withers

This is Tenneil’s third year performing in Stars of Nowra and she feels honoured to contribute to a cause that gives hope for the future. She has been passionate about dancing for most of her life, she not only loves to perform but loves to teach. Tenneil enjoys watching her students grow in confidence, appreciate dance, have fun and most of all feel comfortable in class.

Kate Brumerskyj

Kate has been ballroom dancing since the age of 8 and has completed ballroom dancing Oscars in Latin American, Modern and New Vogue styles through the Reeve Wallace School of Dance, as well as HSC dance.

She is involved in musical theatre as a dancer and choreographer with the Albatross Musical Theatre Company and Nowra Players. This is the second time Kate has been involved in Stars of Nowra, and having had a number of friends and family members fight cancer, she recognises how important it is to have access to support services.

She is also thrilled to be dancing with her best friend Jemma Tribe!

Asmara Morris

Asmara has many notches in her belt for a teen, she began dancing at 6 years old with Physie and Calisthenics, but for the past 3 years has moved across to Your Talent Team where she dances a broad range of styles. Asmara loves the freedom dancing brings her and the ability to tell a story, especially with Lyrical and Modern Contemporary dance. She participated in Stars of Nowra last year and just loved watching her Star grow and doing it all for an amazing cause.

Rachael Taylor

Rachael is an old hand at Stars of Nowra, this year being her 4th year...and winner not once but twice! Rachael’s love for dance is infectious, she started dancing when she was 3 years old and has never stopped. For the past 8 years she has been sharing her love for dance through teaching in the local community. Rachael thoroughly enjoys how dancing makes her feel and loves watching her students grow and develop to express themselves through movement. Her favourite dance styles are Ballet and Hip Hop and she is looking forward to pushing her Star beyond their limits and being involved in a community event.

Melinda Bolton

Melinda has a wealth of experience in teaching dance. She has taught in private studios as well as with the Department of Education. Her favourite styles are Tap, Jazz and Lyrical but she’s keen to do any style that gets the audience involved. Melinda loves the freedom dance gives your mind and body, to her nothing beats being lost in the music and performing. She was involved in Stars of Nowra last year and loved seeing the enjoyment it brought and supporting a worthy cause. Melinda is looking forward to working with her partner to create a performance they’re proud of, so they can achieve something special and benefit those in need.

Amber Cooper

Chloe Parkinson

Chloe has been dancing since the age of 5 and is now a teacher at Your Talent Team, specialising in Tap, Jazz and contemporary, she loves being able to spread happiness through dance. She have recently studied and completed her dance HSC in 2020 and is looking forward to continuing dance teaching this year. Fundraising for cancer has always had a special place in her heart as both her grandmothers have fought cancer with one of them passing away in 2014. She is looking forward to dancing with her STAR onstage and working together to raise money for a good cause. 

Tanika Pel

Tanika is 27 and the owner of Studio19 in Jervis Bay. She first opened the studio in 2015 but have been dancing for a long as she can remember. From a young age she knew she wanted to teach so set her career goals, studied hard, gained the certificates and here she is, 6 years down the road and I absolutely loves what she does. 

Tanika was trained in all styles however definitely found her love in Modern & Ballet. She really enjoys emotional pieces of dance and watching stories be told. 

Highlights from her dance background include performing at the Olympic Opening Ceremony, Opera House Finalist Performances, Company Selection Teams and Working with choreographers who she adored growing up including Mia Michaels, Ben Veitch, BJ Rorke, Vanis Marshal, Stephan Tannos and Mandy Moore, to name a few. 

Tanika is now the proud mum of 2 kiddies, Sophia and Bentley and can't wait to watch them grow on their dance journey.
